To ensure your visit to Tarntanya (Adelaide) and your attendance at the First Nations Clean Energy Symposium is as enjoyable as possible, here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions to provide you with all the information you need.

The Symposium is being held at the Stamford Grand Adelaide Hotel at 2 Jetty Rd, Glenelg, South Australia, 5045.
A multi-storey car park is located adjacent to the hotel. Day parking is charged at an hourly rate with a maximum $12.00 per day for Symposium delegates (validation of ticket required). Self-parking for delegates staying overnight in the hotel is charged at $25.00 per night.
Dress code is smart casual.
The Registration Desk will be open in the Pre-Function space outside the Ballroom (on level one of the Stamford Grand Hotel) on Wednesday 8 May 2024 from 8.00am – 5.30pm and Thursday 9 May from 8.00am – 5.30pm.
If at any stage you develop COVID-19-related symptoms, however mild, we request you do not attend the Symposium and inform a member of our Event Team. You should seek medical advice and get tested immediately.
The Stamford Grand Hotel Adelaide is a non-smoking venue. However, guests can smoke outside in designated areas.
All delegates will be provided with a name badge which will give you access to all sessions. Please ensure you always wear your name badge.
If you have advised the Symposium organisers of any special dietary requirements (you are able to do so in the registration form), the caterers at each function will have been provided these. A special buffet table will be set during the day for special diets. If you are unsure, please see staff at the Registration Desk.
Free wireless internet access is available for the duration of the Symposium. Password and login details will be available on attendance.
PLEASE NOTE: The internet is not to be used to view or download any illicit material, including movies, music etc.
Any changes to the Symposium program will be announced during housekeeping notices each morning. You may also check with the Symposium organiser staff at the Registration Desk.
As a courtesy to other delegates, please ensure that all mobile phones are turned off or in silent mode during all sessions.
Delegates are not permitted to use any type of camera or recording device at any of the sessions unless written permission has been obtained from the relevant speaker.
What if I need to cancel?
Delegates who find themselves unable to attend the Symposium after submitting a registration form are welcome to nominate a substitute. In the case of a cancellation, delegates must inform the Symposium organisers in writing of their inability to attend. A refund of the registration fee, less a cancellation fee of $110.00 (AUD$) including GST, will be made 14 days after the date of cancellation.
NO refunds will be made after 5:00pm on 20 April 2024.
Any changes made to a registration within seven (7) days of the Symposium will incur a $40.00 administrative fee.
Members of the Symposium organising committee accept no liability for personal accident or loss, or damage suffered by any participant, accompanying person, invited observer or any other person by whatever means. Neither do we accept liability for any equipment nor software brought to the Symposium by delegates, speakers, sponsors or any other party.
Please protect your personal property. Do not leave laptops, cameras, and other valuable items unsecured. Be conscious of individuals who appear out of place and do not wear a Symposium name badge. Advise our staff if this does occur.
The Symposium organisers reserve the right to amend or alter any advertised details relating to dates, program and speakers if necessary, without notice, because of circumstances beyond their control. All attempts have been made to keep any changes to an absolute minimum.
